Asante Kotoko talisman Sogne Yacouba has earned another call-up to the Burkina Faso senior national team.

The in-form striker is making his fourth appearance for the Stallions  ahead of the final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritania.

Yacouba, 27, marked his debut for the Burkinabes in an international friendly against Kazakhstan, climbing off the bench in their 0-0 draw at the Ortaliq stadium on May 12, 2015.

Burkina Faso will face Mauritania in their last Group game in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Yacouba will not be part of Asante Kotoko team that will face Zesco United in Zambia due to suspension.

The striker has been in tremendous form scoring two goals in the group stages of the competition as well as creating several goals for the Reds.

Yacouba, who joined Asante Kotoko from Stade Malien impressed the technical handlers of the Stallions of Burkina Faso and the 27-year old, earning him a return to the team.

Burkina Faso are third in group I of the AFCON 2019 qualifiers and will need a win against leaders Mauritania to stand a chance of qualifying should Angola lose to Botswana.

Yacouba's performances has seen him attract interest from Egyptian giants Al Ahly and was contacted by officials of Al Hilal of Sudan on Sunday after another fine display.

Yacouba has 2 goals with 2 assists to his credit for Asante Kotoko in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
