CAF CC: Aduana Stars suffer 2-0 defeat to AS Vita Club

Ghana’s surviving champions in the CAF Confederation tourney, Aduana Stars were defeated to a humiliating 2-0 win by Congolese side AS Vita Club.

A brace by Makasu Mundele’s saw As Vita ahead of the Dormaa based side.

Mundele put the host into the lead with a sleek header in the 24th minute.

AS Vita Club striker Makusu Mundele scored another goal after Aduana Stars goalkeeper failed to get a one-time catch allowing the attacker find the back of the net after twisting and turning the goalkeeper.

Aduana Stars won their first game of the competition at Nana Agyeman Badu Park with a 2-1 win over AS Vita Club.

The Ogya boys looked to salvage Ghana’s plummeting image in the CAF Confederation Cup but had to succumb to a 2-0 defeat making it a 3-2 on aggregate for the Congolese Champions.

The introduction of Zakaria Mumuni who came on to replace injured Emmanuel Akuoko looked to have made a significant impact in Aduana Stars display.

The winger threatened the AS Vita Club defense on countless occasion.

Aduana Stars will now have to win their final two matches in the group against Asec Mimosas of Abidjan on August 19at Dormaa Ghana and Raja Casablanca on 29th August.
