However, Kotoko have debunked the reports via its official Twitter page, saying Paa Kwesi Fabin is still in charge of the Kumasi based GPL side.
“NO CHANGES! Contrary to reports going round, Asante Kotoko head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin remains the at post and currently preparing the lads for the game against Bechem United. #AKSC”
Kotoko Tweets;
The former signed a one-year contract in February 2018 to take charge of Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2017/18 season.
The 59-year old experienced local coach and UEFA Pro License holder took over from former Head Coach Steven Polack after CAF Confederation Cup exit.
Kotoko have had a poor start to the league campaign this year, after losing to Hearts of Oak in Kumasi last weekend, the expectation was that they will return to winning ways but that was not to be as they suffered another crushing defeat to Karela in midweek.
Supporters and even officials within the club have been pushing for the resignation of the trainer but the management deems it unfit at this time of the season and therefore called for calm as the team camps in Cape Coast ahead of their GPL week 12 fixture against Bechem United on Sunday.
