Popular Nollywood Actor and Comedian, Mr. Ibu, born John Okafor has dismissed reports going round that he’s been struck down with stroke.

There were reports on Thursday evening that the comic actor suffered stroke after returning from Owerri but latest updates shows it was false.

A close source to the family of the 57-year-old actor was said to have confirmed the news as the fellow reportedly mentioned that Mr. Ibu had been taken to a traditional doctor and was responding to treatment.

News of the unfortunate incident was also confirmed by President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas. He told e-NIGERIA that he was “aware that Mr. Ibu is truly down with stroke, but he is fast recovering and need more of our prayers right now.”

However, Mr. Ibu says the reports are untrue. In a video which has gone viral, the actor who appeared healthy said he was fit and nothing had been wrong with him.

Mr. John Okafor has than 200 movies to his credit including ‘Police Recruit’ (2003) ‘Mr. Ibu’ (2004), ‘Mr. Ibu in London (2004), ‘9 Wives’ (2005), ‘Ibu in Prison’ (2006) and ‘Keziah’ (2007).
