4×4 used to be (or perhaps still) one of the best groups in the history of Hip-life music in Ghana until recently when we saw visible cracks emerging from their camp.

It all started when the leader of the group, Captain Planet went solo and released his club banger, Obi Agye Obi Girl.

That song went viral and it earned him a VGMA nomination and that was when onlookers actually concluded that 4×4 is officially no more.

Besides, Coded who does the Dancehall aspect of the group’s production also released hi single titled, E Dey Pain Dem. All these signs pointed to the fact they have gone their separate ways.

However in an interview on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda, Captain Planet said despite everything, the group is still together.

He explained that all three members of the group are working on solo projects for the time being.

He said:

4×4 is still together, we have not parted ways. Currently, we are all doing our own music, but that does not mean we are no longer a team.

Captain Planet was quick to add that he cannot speak on behalf of his colleagues but he reassured fans that a news song from their camp will drop soon.
