The Assin South Police Commander DSP Okyere Andam in an interview said, two of the guys came to withdraw GHS12.00 from the victim at around 11:00am that day, after that transaction, another two guys also came to withdraw GHS 500.00 from the same merchant.
She demanded the ID cards of the suspect before the transaction but they were unable to provide.
The Police commander added that, they guys started intimidating the merchant with a knife on her cheeks ordering her to show her money was.
In the process, they managed to confiscate a small bag containing the GHS6000.00 and four phones and bolted immediately.
However, through the efforts of onlookers around, two of the robbers were arrested and sent to Assin South Police Station.
DSP Andam disclosed to silveronline24 that the suspects been arraigned for court and have been remanded to police custody for two week whiles search to arrest the other accomplices still goes on.
The Assin South Police Commander has thus advised mobile money merchant to be vigilant in carrying out their duties to avoid being attacked.
