President Akufo-Addo is perceived to embark on a massive cabinet reshuffle, which is likely to affect a number of prominent ministers and deputy ministers.

The President is likely to undertake a major shake-up of his government in the coming days owing to incessant pressure from key figures in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and civil society organizations, according to information sniffed by Silveronline24.com.

There is a widespread allegation that the reshuffle follows the dismissal of the former Energy Minister by the President over the renegotiated AMERI deal.

The supposed reshuffle is believed to involve moving some cabinet ministers from their current portfolio to others, while some ministers would be completely  shown the exit.

Regional ministers, as well as their deputies, are also likely to be taken through the reshuffle process.

President Akufo-Addo has been under pressure from groups, civil society organizations, as well as ordinary Ghanaians after appointing a total of 110 ministers and deputy ministers when he took office.

An NDC Communication Team in the Ashanti Region, Ivan Bilson Yeboah made mockery of the President’s number of ministers, labeling it as useless and draining the national coffers.
