Five Chinese illegal miners were on last Friday arrested by a joint forestry and Military patrol team at the Oda Forest reserve at Bepotenten in the Amansie Central district of Jacobu, in the Ashanti region.

The Chinese whose identities were not known at the time of filing this report have been remanded into police custody at Bekwai in the Ashanti region.
