The theme for the anniversary was “The Youth Against Crime and Drugs” of which parents were tasked to provide parental care control for their children to minimize the canker.
Chief Superintendent Agyapong, a native of Afari was agitated on the alarming rate by which the youth are taken drugs such as tramadol, Indian hemp, also known as wee, cocaine etc without looking for the adverse side effects.
He commended Mr. Antwi Nelson (CEO of Van De Wiel-GH) for the establishment of the NGO which has supported many vulnerable in areas of education, free uniforms for the needy, providing nutritious meal each day for 200 pupils, provision of furniture for both Afari and Akrofuom Basic schools and empowering the youth into entrepreneurial skills as well as mentoring training.
