Kwapong Police Station was forced to close down three years ago when some aggrieved residents attacked and brutalized some Police Personnel on duty.
In a press briefing, the assembly member said that the current happenings in the town are out of hand and the only way to curb the situation is to bring back the police.
According to him, all efforts to talk to stop those involve in the intake of the deadly drugs have yielded negative results as they are not ready to turn a new leaf.
He has therefore petitioned the IGP and Interior minister through the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Lawyer Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh to as a matter of urgency reopen the Kwapong police station to prevent the community being taken over by the drug peddlers.
