Two persons who were arrested at Odorkor in Accra are to be arraigned before the high court.

It has been established that, the grenade in possession of the two young men, Ismaila Ali Musah and Abdul originated from Russia.

This follows a confirmation from the Ghana Military that the offensive weapons for which the two suspects are standing trial, actually came from Russia.

A Senior State Attorney, Sefakor Batse, told an Accra District Court that the Attorney General’s Office was ready to begin the full trial, saying there was enough evidence against the two.

The presiding Judge, Ebenezer Kwaku Ansah, subsequently committed the two accused persons to stand trial at the high court on May 17, 2018.

‘Having listened to the prosecution, the two young men must explain how they came in possession of the grenades the presiding Judge said.

The two accused persons were apprehended after the police had the information that they were in possession of the said items.
