Alfred Agbesi Woyome has debunked the media claims that he fainted immediately after the announcement President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo made regarding Martin Amidu's nomination as the Special Prosecutor yesterday.

He has cited Accra base TV3 as the television station that started that ‘false’ reportage and so demanded an outright apology from the television station.

“It is in TV3’s own interest to do the right thing professionally,” he fumes.

The family of Mr. Woyome were flooded with calls from his teeming supporters from all walks of live on hearing the news, a statement issued by his spokesperson says.”

The statement further states that, Mr. Woyome who is standing trial for receiving a judgement debt in 2012 understands and appreciates the rule of law.

“He respects the 1992 Constitution and is not bothered about Martin Alamisi Amidu becoming the Special Prosecutor,” the statement read.

The statement signed by Reginald Seth Dogbey read, “God rules in the affairs of men.”
