The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has given the green light to the head of Bretuo clan of Asante Akim Domeabra., Nana Amoako Ogyampa, to perform the necessary customary rites to enstool Nana Owusu Bediako as the Omanhene.

The stool which according to history belongs to the Bretuo clan has been vacant over the years due to a protracted litigations between four different factions who claim to be the original custodian of the stool.

However, three of the factions smoke the peace pipe and endorsed Nana Bediako to be the chief.

At a gathering of traditional leaders at the Manhyia palace on Monday 23 April, 2018, the great Asante King ordered the head of the Bretuo clan to go ahead and enstool the new chief as the Omanhene of Akim Domeabra.

Before his announcement, a leader of one of the faction, Yaw Asare who had sworn to the Great oath of Otumfuo was called before traditional chiefs to explain his decision of swearing to the great oath but failed to give tangible reasons which made him flout against the great oath.

However, pleads from almost all the traditional chiefs gathered saved him from the wrath of Asantehene.
