An 18-year-old Junior High School (JHS) graduate of Cosmos International School has built a car with scraps (recycled metallic waste).

In a viral video on social media,the boy,identified as Kelvin Odartey, is seen driving the locally assembled car whiles his colleagues cheer him up.

He drew the attention of many when he drove the self-made car to the examination centre to write his final paper.

Odartey took part in the just ended Basic Education Certificate Examination in Ghana.

According to him, he started building small cars from scratch years back before moving on to this.

Kelvin noted that when starting his giant vehicle which has gotten the attention of Ghanaians, he wasn’t having money so his friends helped him financially.

He explained that seven of his friends invested in him to build that vehicle and has decided to train some of his friends in order to also help them assemble their own cars.

In an interview with UTV, Kelvin said that he discovered his ability when he was younger and he started building small cars.

He added that he later decided to build a bigger car and he had help from seven friends who supported him with funds to build the car.
