Ghana Premier League matchday 8 between Accra Hearts of Oak and Ashanti Gold SC on Thursday night failed to produce goals after it ended 0-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians after recovering from the defeat they suffered to bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko SC with a 1-0 vital win at Dreams FC on Sunday were looking to add Ashantigold to the list of their victims but profligacy on the part of their attackers saw the game ended barren.

Hearts started in a lively fashion as they came close to scoring early on. A howler from Frank Boateng provided a great opportunity for Daniel Afriyie but he blasted his effort over the bar from six yards.

Afriyie who could have score two goals on the day was left frustrated after failing to convert his chances.
