Organisers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse has condemned the 'unruly' behaviour of two top artistes that marred the beauty of the 2019 Award last Saturday night.

The camp of Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale clashed on stage when Stonebwoy was announced as the winner for the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year category.

Shatta Wale and his entourage tried to go up on the stage when Stonebwoy was being presented with his award for Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, but were prevented by the Top Skanka artiste's team.

In the midst of the tension, Stonebwoy pulled out a gun; an action he has explained in a press statement as self-defence.

Charterhouse had to cut transmission for well over one hour for tempers to cool down.

Shatta Wale walked out of the auditorium amid ridicules from most people who were gathered at the New Dome for the VGMA 2019.

The Show later continued later but awards for the Artiste of the Year and Vodafone Song of the Year winners were not announced on the night with reasons better known to the organizers.

Charterhouse in a statement sent their apologies to various stakeholders including international visitors for the security breach that marred the event.
