Speaking in an interview with Becky on the EWITHBECKS Show, they noted that they managed to stick together for the past 30 years due to the unfailing love of the almighty God.
“God has been the major factor but we also played the role of staying united.” They said.
Daughters of Glorious Jesus, are celebrating three decades of spreading the gospel through music and as part of activities, held an official launch ahead of the events lined up.
This trio of songbirds comprise of two sisters and a friend. Cynthia Appiadu and Edna Sarpong, then their friend, Monica Owusu Ansah. Cynthia, the youngest, writes and composes most of the songs of the group and she is the lead singer as well.
They started as part of the Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministries choir, then in 1987. Later, the General Overseer of the Church, Bishop Akwasi Asare Bediako, saw their potential and encouraged them to form a group. They proceeded to minister through songs at various church crusades and conventions.
Some of their hits include ‘Mebo Wo Din Daa’, ‘Edin No’, ‘Asomdwoe Hene’, ‘Tumi Wo Mu’, ‘Aseda Ben’, ‘Yeyi W’aye’, ‘Okasa Preko’, ‘Onokwafo Nyame’, ‘Beberee’, ‘Ahinta Bea’ among others.
