In a colourful ceremony held in Aputuogya, one of the largest community in the constituency saw some party faithfuls like the Ashanti Regional minister Hon Simon Mensah, Mr Bernard Antwi Bosiako aka chairman Wontumi NPP Ashanti regional chairman, Ashanti regional woman organizer Nana Ama Ampomah, and all the constituency executives. Some NPP patriots from USA also came to support the launched.
During the launched of the campaign", supporters of the party from the various communities and villages, also paraded the principal streets from Esreso to Kuntenanse their District capital showcasing the good works of the Nana Akufo-Addo government. It also attracted some members of the other political parties who came to witness the campaign massages from the NPP executives.
Addressing the gathering, Hon Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum, deputy education Minister and MP for Bosomtwe appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and himself as M.P to sustain the excellent performance of a party that has been in power for less than 4 years but has more to show in terms of development.
Hon Simon Osei Mensah said the Bosomtwe constituency's historical relevance in the Npp is still important because it is also linked to some positions the indigene from the constituency hold from national level to regional level. "I simon Osei Mensah as regional minister come from this Constituency, deputy education Minister and MP for Bosomtwe come from Bosomtwe, Mr Bernard Antwi Bosiako aka chairman Wontumi also come from this Constituency, what else do you want" he said.
This, he said, should reenergize "the grassroots, the base of our great party to victory on December 7th 2020".
The regional minister announced that the 20 km Atonso-Bosomtwe road has been awarded to Kofi Job construction limited.
Mr Bernard Antwi Bosiako aka chairman, the NPP Ashanti regional chairman extended his full support to Hon Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum, the parliamentary candidate, and appealed to the electorates to vote for him and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Bernard Antwi Bosiako reemphasized the brotherhood between him and Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum, and pledged his full support to facilitate the development of the Bosomtwe district.
Hon Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum, expressed appreciation to the electorates and the party executives, promising to use consultations and dialogue to promote human and infrastructural development in the district.
Party supporters also praised Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum for working tirelessly to maintain unity in the party ahead of the December polls.
As party faithful celebrated a successful campaign launch, their desire to ensure massive victory for the NPP was strongly amplified to shake the political foundations of the Bosomtwe district.
Party supporters danced to gospel and party songs, clothed with Npp colours.
