According to the EC the meeting would be held in two groups. The first session began at 10am while the second is set to begin at 2pm
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) however has boycotted the meeting at the Electoral Commission (EC).It is believed that the boycott is over the register as well as an alleged violation of COVID-19 protocols.
But the NDC claims the format of holding the meeting in two different groups with a single representative of the political parties will not lead to consensus building.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana held an InterParty Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on March 25, 2020, where the C.I. was discussed.
The EC has prior to the meeting, extended an invitation letter extended to some 16 political including the NPP, NDC, CPP, PPP, PNC, LPG, GCPP, GUM, UFP, NDP, among others.
