The telecom giant has launched Africa’s first ever AI-powered MoMo platform.
The aim of this venture, according to MTN Group President and CEO, Rob Shuter, is to improve the scale of MTN’s interaction with its customers.
With the AI mobile money chatbot, customers will receive customer care no matter the time and place and can expect to receive all the necessary information in prompt fashion.
The chatbot will also help customers interact with the MoMo system and make payments over social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook.
The AI service is also set to feature prominently in “Ayoba”, MTN’s new instant messaging service.
These improvements are all geared towards increasing customer engagement and enhancing customer experiences and will help achieve financial inclusion in Africa.
