Asiedu Nketia only exhibiting his ignorance – Obiri Boahen

Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has described a press statement released by the opposition National Democratic Congress under the penmanship of the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito, as a way of displaying his ignorance.

His comments come after the NDC released a statement urging its members on the Appointment Committee to be firm and resolute in executing their duties on the committee.

In a communiqué signed by Johnson Asiedu Nketiah after an emergency meeting held on Monday, he insisted that the NDC parliamentarians on the Appointment Committee should reject unqualified nominees.

Mr Obiri Boahen has laughed off contents from the communiqué and has opined that Mr Asiedu Nketia is not a ‘legal brain’ hence his (Mr Nketia’s) comments about the happenings of the committee should not be taken serious and must be treated with the humour it deserves.

He wondered why people still consider Mr Asiedu Nketia as a seasoned politician and would swallow everything he spews out ‘hook, line and sinker’.

Mr Obiri Boahen made this assertion in an exclusive interview with Silver News’ Kwabena Agyei Kyerematen.
