According to Mr Gabriel, the misconception that only poor students attend TVET schools is wrong and students must be encouraged to attend since it is a tool for personal development.
Speaking on SilverFM's breakfast show dubbed Omanbapa SHOW with host Nana Ampratwum the regional coordinator indicated that;
''Technical and Vocational education institutions help promote skill acquisition and reduce the country's unemployment percentage drastically''
''We must all advocate the advantages of TVET...government,parents,teachers etc must all come together and totally delete the misconception that below average students are the ones fit for Technical and Vocational institution''
''It is a matter of repackaging or adding value to the unskilled person to make him more viable in his area of specialization''
He appealed to the government and other stakeholders to support the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the country to provide the knowledge and skills for employment,using formal, non-formal and informal learning.
