Nana Obiri Yeboah, special aide to Gabby Asare Okyere Darko, a leading member of the NPP has threatened to battle NDC’s Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi at the law court following his nepotism comment in NPP government.

He said, Sammy Gyamfi without fact has labeled falsehood and slander against his boss (Gabby) hence he would meet him in court to substantiate the allegation as Gabby is not even part of the governance as he has indicate.

Nana Obiri Yeboah is daring the NDC National Communication Director to provide evidence to his claims or he gets sued for defamation.

“I will sue this guy if he refuses to show me the kind of work Gabby is doing in this government” he fumed.

Sammy Gyamfi addressing the media yesterday said, “Contrary to his campaign promise, President Akufo-Addo has normalized the culture of nepotism in his government. He has given true meaning to nepotism by surrounding himself with a plethora of family members, friends, loved ones including his former lovers all in furtherance of his state-capture agenda.”

According to him, the President’s younger brother, Edward ‘Akufo-Addo (Bumpty); and their nephew, Gabby Asare Okyere Darko – the de facto Prime Minister, controls the President’s interests in government.

“It must be noted that, even though ‘Bumpty’ and ‘Gabby’ do not hold formal positions in government, the two are the President’s closest advisors. Gabby, in particular, is considered as the most powerful man in the Akufo-Addo administration, second only to the President. Bumpty on the other hand, as revealed by our investigations, is the President’s main man in Ghana’s Energy sector with numerous interests.”

The Communication Director said,” the wife of Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, and in-law of the President, Nana Adjoa Hackman, is not left out of the sharing of the spoils, as she has been appointed to the Board of the GNPC – a key institution which pivots Ghana’s petroleum sector. Also, Mr. Ekow Hackman, brother of Gabby’s wife, Adjoa Hackman and hence Akufo-Addo’s son in law, has been appointed as the Board Chairman.

These comments have generated a lot of controversies which Nana Obiri Yeboah is threatening to sue Sammy Gyamfi as he described Gabby as a noble private person who has been fending for himself over the years.

“I will advise my good brother to provide evidence to these claims or meet me in court and mind you, Mr. Darko is a very hardworking citizen who is focused on his law firm with his partner, he has nothing to do with government…. And even if Nana Addo has surrounded his government with family and friends the question we should all be asking is if they are qualified or not, Mahama would have done same if he had competent people in his family”.
