Asante Kotokohene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has indefinitely dissolved the Asantehemaa court, according to sources close to the Manhyia Palace.

The announcement was made by the Asantehene on Tuesday after watching proceedings when he visited the court, ordering the members of the counsel to vacate with immediate effect.

According to the source, the Asantehene has also ordered the secretariat to transfer all cases since Asantehemaa, Nana Ama Konadu, took over the court, to his office.

The court is presided over by the Asantehemaa, comprising two divisions, Kotinso and Nkonson with queens and chiefs as members.

The court sits on Tuesdays and Thursdays and settles disputes on social issues, involving marriages, quarrels, curses, cheats among others.

What prompted this very action is not yet known but Silveronline24.com     will keep our cherished readers posted should anything drops from the Manhyia Palace.
