The Ashanti Youth Association, AYA has praised the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his selfless leadership qualities that have made Asanteman an enviable place for others.

The Director of operation, AYA, Nana Oppong Boadi in an interview with Silver FM’s Nana Peprah Asiase said the performance of Asantehene since his enstoolment as king of the Asante Kingdom has done a lot of good things for Asanteman and Ghana as a whole.

“His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, since his enstoolment has done great things for his people. He has instituted Otumfuo’s Education Fund, which is taking care of over 15, 000 students and Otumfuo

Teachers Awards where exceptional teachers nationwide are awarded,” he said.

Adding to the lists of Otumfuo’s achievements and benevolence to the society, he mentioned that, mobile libraries has been instituted in various rural areas to assists students get easy access to books and other educational materials and ICT learning.

The Ashanti Youth Association which is strongly involved in the 20th anniversary celebration of His Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as king of the Ashanti kingdom, called on the general public, especially Asanteman to celebrate the Great Asante King.

Nana Oppong Boadi disclosed that Otumfuo through his benevolence was going to ensure that the abandoned Kumasi Children’s Park would be given a face lift.
