According to him, the Assembly is constructing a Police Station and a Court to help ensure efficient security in the area.
He said, if measures were not put in place to check such crimes in the Municipality, it could be inimical to the growth of business, which would eventually affect the revenue mobilization drive of the Assembly.
He explained that, security issues were major challenges in the area but the efforts of the Assembly with able security agencies in the area has brought some improvement in the situation.He disclosed in an interview with Nana Peprah during the assembly's maiden meeting for the year 2021 on Wednesday.
The meeting which sought to address developmental and security issues witness a host of departmental heads and Assembly members.
Mr. Owusu indicated that the annual budget of the Tafo Municipality seeks to meet the plans of the Assembly and the aspirations of the people.
He further explained that, the Assembly has built a 21-unit classroom block and a Getfund block to help improve the academic background of the people.
He said, schools with collapsed buildings will be renovated with ease to ensure the safety of the children.
''Schools, Markets, Churches were fumigated in the Municipality to ensure the safety of the people and PPE’s were distributed to the various institutions to help fight the COVID 19 pandemic ’’ he added.
He said, there are 13 schools in the Municipality and about 7,464 children benefiting from the school feeding program in the Municipality.
During the meeting, the community raised concern about road construction in some parts of Tafo including; Nhyiaeso, Okess junction and others.
Mr. Owusu stressed that, those roads had already been assigned for construction to make the conveying of passengers easy and faster.
He said, the Assembly has offered support to persons living with disabilities and the aged by showing them the love and care they need to improve their standard of living.
He then urged the Assembly members to stay united to help achieve the common goal, which is development.
