According to the residents blamed some leaders in the community for condoning such act.
They explained that the leasers accepted illegal mining activity by some Chinese nationals in the reserved forest of the community without considering the negative impacts that it brings upon the residents.
"The leaders including some NPP party executive , Chief and DCE have been doing these illegal mining with the Chinese. We cry to them but they do not pay heed to our plight, they heartlessly destroy our reserved forest and other farm produce just for their selfish gains'' the angry demonstrators alleged.
Cladded in red clothes, head gears and hand bands, the residents revealed that they are ready to fight to the limit against the destruction of their precious forest.
Speaking to journalists in angry mood some old women revealed that their cocoa farms had been forcibly destroyed by these illegal miners and their only source of water for survival has been destroyed.
"Our only source of river "Danne", our reserved forest with planted trees, our cocoa farms and other farm produce have been destroyed by these heartless people.
We caution them to leave our ''Danne Forest'' or face our wrath, the angry residents threatened.
Danso Kyidomhene and Kokofu Amponoma Kyidomhene, Nana Kwabena Kusi also expressed worried over how some selfish leaders in the community are destroying the reserved forest at the expense of the suffering populace.
