Speaking to SilverNEWS, Kontihene of the traditional council, Nana Owusu Ansah II, on behalf of the Mamponteng Chief, strongly urged the youth to desist from violent acts that could destruct the peace of this country.
According to him, perpetrating violence under the influence of someone's political power is foolishness.
He said it's high time the youth learnt to humble themselves and desist from something that do not yield any better fruit. According to him anyone from the area who is engaging in such act may be punished
He also advised the chiefs to stop associating themselves to political party since that is against chieftancy.
"Our words are highly respected especially in times of any misunderstanding. If we however mingle ourselves with any political party our respect degrades", he said.
The Traditional Council said this after Akwasidee gathering at the Mamponteng Traditional Council.
He advised the youth to learn something and stop underrating old traditions.
