“Despite persistent appeals to opinion leaders and the Assembly on the urgent need to provide basic amenities in our community, nothing has been done to alleviate our plight in the area. We lack portable water and people defecate about anyhow, causing another problem for the community”, the residents lamented while calling on authorities to come to their aid, so as to alleviate the suffering of the people.
A visit to the community by silverNEWS recently revealed that, the residents, to a large extent, depend on borehole that dries up often. The absence of water and toilet facility in the community has worsen the situation in the area.
''We are facing the challenge of open defecation in this community due to the lack of public toilets''.
''People have been defecating on refuse dumps which is posing a great treat to our health and living conditions''
The residents appealed to authorities to provide public toilet facilities to curb such unhealthy acts in the area.
Speaking to an opinion leader, Mr, Desmond Appiah, who is vying for the 2020 Parliamentary seat in Offinso south constituency on the ticket of the governing NPP, urged the government and the Assembly to deem it necessary to focus on the rapid infrastructural development in the community.

''Offinso is in between two regional capitals Techiman and Kumasi and so our community should be a center of attraction...We have polytechnics,neurology departments and more private enterprises which can make our community the center of education''
