According to these residents ever since President Nana Addo broke the grounds for the construction of the Mamponteng Township roads to begin, no monitoring from any government official has been made as the contractor who was given the project kept on doing a shoddy work by creating manholes within the township which has led to the injury of many innocent residents.
They reveal to journalists that for the past months now the contractor has suddenly stopped the project only to leave them a death trap in the township.
“Most of the workers who started the work have now stopped coming because no official is monitoring them. This has opened the gateway for unprofessional road contractors come to our aid.” The residents pleaded.
The Assembly member for the Abensenase Electoral Area, Hon. Ampadu Kyere Baffour speaking to the media disclosed that the issue has been a worrying situation of which he has been taking several steps to avert but to no avail.
“The President promised to fix our roads when he visited us last year, 2019 so we were very hopeful that by Six to Eight months the contractor would have completed but it so disappointing to see our roads in worse state.” The Assembly Member said.
