The group took to the streets on Friday to protest the deplorable state of the roads which they allege has led to a number of road robberies.
The irate residents who told SilverFM's Akwadaa Nyame explained how they are being harassed and robbed by armed robbers as a result of bad road.
They indicated how the situation is increasingly becoming a fertile ground for miscreants who capitalized on the poor nature of the road to rob residence and traders alike of their valuables.
Narrating their ordeal, some women also revealed how they got sexually harassed when they refused to give out their monies and other goodies.
They attributed their woes to the bad roads as cars are unable to move swiftly, making it easier for them to be victimized.
''I am a vegetable trader who normally commute between Ankaase and Central Market to ply my trade..... these armed robbers hide in areas of the road to attack us''
''When a trader is unable to provide them with the amount of money as requested they have sex with you''
''The road network linking Jetia to Heman is where the heinous act normally occurs''
One of the health personnels in the Ankaase Methodist hospital was shot and killed recently by these robbers, the residents disclosed.
They, therefore, appealed to government to as a matter of urgency, construct the road to improve the living conditions of the people in the communities.
