Confirming his nightmare to DAILY GUIDE, he said that the thieves broke into the residence on Tuesday dawn and managed to pick one of his vehicles key and entered the vehicle where they stole cash believed to me more than GHS40, 000.00 from under the driver’s seat.
Eccentrically, the key was left in the vehicle and nothing else was taken after they had made way with the cash.
According to him, the suspect entered the house and cut portion of the bedroom net and by using long stick with glue attached, managed to pick the key placed on a table beside his bed.
How they managed to know there was money in the vehicle is what mystifies him, he said.
“I had this loads of cash for an activity today (Tuesday) but my brother, how they managed to know that I had such money in the car remains a mystery,” he added.
Confirming the news to DAILY GUIDE, he said that the thieves broke into the bedroom through the kitchen window after cutting the wire net and jerked open burglar-proof iron bars.
Sources close to DAILY GUIDE says, this theft is the fifth time, the Sekyere Afram Plains DCE has had his home burgled by thieves and no arrest have been made after several complaints to the police in the area.
Speaking to the Assembly Member for the area, Justice Baffour Awuah, he said the DCE first called on him to inform him about the theft.
“The DCE called on me first to inform me about the theft. What I noticed in his is that there is neither CCTV nor wild dogs present, so I have advised him to beef up his security because of stature in society,” Hon. Justice Baffour Awuah told DAILY GUIDE
He disclosed that measures were underway to formed volunteers who would be patrolling the area to prevent such occurrences.
He appealed to the residents especially parents to warn their wards to desist from actions that contravene the laws of the land since anyone caught breaking into people’s home would not be sparred but would be made to face full rigours of the law.
