Chairman of the Christian Council most Reverend Paul Kwabena Boafo has indicated that the council is against the activities and acts of the LGBTQI and not the personality of those involved in the act.

According to him the council do not criminalize LGBTQI individuals but see actions as a disorder in their life and those who are calling for it to be legalized must undergo certain counseling and deliverance. 

On Tuesday, 23rd February 2021, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo swore into office thirty-one (31) members of the 8th Council of State of the 4th Republic, at a ceremony at Jubilee House, the seat of the nation's presidency.
