The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) has warned of possible shortage of goods in the country by May 2020 following the faster rate at which the deadly coronavirus is spreading.This comes as the epicenter shifts from China to almost every continent.

According to GUTA, the situation would relatively give rise to price hikes on goods following the shortage of goods on the international market.

Speaking to Nana Ampratwum on Omanbapa show, the National Welfare Officer of GUTA, Benjamin Yeboah noted that the situation may worsen if the disease is not contained.

''We are currently fighting for our lives due to the increasing number of cases of the coronavirus''

''The situation is getting worse daily ....the whole world is gradually coming under lockdown..There are no free movement of persons especially for businessman who run between China , Europe and worldwide''

He also urged Politicians to stop politicizing the 1D1F program and make it a priority for the country to start producing its own products after a successful eradication of the deadly virus worldwide.
