Mobile Phone dealers in the Ashanti Region have expressed fears over the gradual decrease in the their stockpile as a result of the heightened rate of novel Coronavirus infections globally.

The perturbed businessmen revealed how the outbreak is affecting their businesses and stocks running low if the spread of the novel Coronavirus continues for the next 3 months.

According to the dealers, most of their merchandise and other import products used in Ghana are brought in from China hence the fears, adding that if the situation continues “we are going to run out of stocks in this country”.

''We are currently unable to supply our customers most of their needs and this is affecting businesses greatly''

''We are in difficult times.....stocks are running low and this is putting a lot of pressure on items and subsequent price hikes'' the affected phone dealers told SilverFM's Akwadaa Nyame on Omanbapa SHOW.

The phone dealers indicated that the are running low stock of goods that are always in high demand and have no alternatives to now on how to restock.

Some affected businesses are now contemplating other routes to import their goods since the virus outbreak in China does not appear to be easing down.

Panic buying begins in some parts of the world with stocks running low amid growing concern about the coronavirus outbreak.
